Del Monte (France) is seeking aΒ Senior Sales RepresentativeΒ for its Sales Department, on aΒ permanent contract, starting As Soon As Possible.Β 

Reporting to the Sales Director (Fresh) based in our Orly offices, you willΒ assistΒ with various tasks:Β 

  • Sell Fresh products on the French market according to yearly planΒ 
  • Develop sales and margins on products marketed by Del MonteΒ 
  • Visit Rungis market customers and service providersΒ on a daily basisΒ Β 
  • Manage sales forecasts and communicate effectively internally toΒ maintainΒ service levels.Β 
  • Establish,Β maintainΒ and build relationships with your customer contact, coordinating across functions to ensure consistency of communication.Β Β 
  • Internal management and communication: ensure all stakeholders are fully informed of customer activities and involved asΒ appropriate toΒ ensure the highest possible standard of service.Β Β 
  • To be knowledgeable of the market,Β trendsΒ and forward activity.Β Β To be aware of the competitors within the sector and supply/customer base.Β 
  • To build promotional activity plans by product area to support the development of the business. Undertake promotional reviews.Β 
  • Provide budget information andΒ forecast, by customer and product.Β Β To manageΒ the productΒ pricing to deliverΒ anticipatedΒ returnsΒ ofΒ the business.Β Β Delivery of sales and profit targets.Β 
  • Manage customer complaints and ensure the administrative follow-up of each file – Ensure the proper payment of ordersΒ 
  • Provide competitive intelligenceΒ 
  • Follow-up of stocks and actions when neededΒ 
  • To ensure that all contracts/terms of supply, payment terms, ORD’s and marketing support are appropriately documented and implemented, have theΒ appropriate levelΒ of authorization and conform to Company policy.Β

Prerequisites:Β 

  • At least 5 years of experience. in the fruit trade – excellent knowledge of the marketΒ 
  • Very goodΒ knowledge of the commercial circuit and relations with supermarketsΒ 
  • Good standard of spoken and written French and English language skills.Β 
  • ProvenΒ track recordΒ in a customer facing sales/marketing environment. Proven experience of retail pricing, promotional pricing, cost price increase negotiation, as well as contract extension negotiations.Β 
  • DemonstrateΒ a clearΒ knowledge and understanding of the product category.Β 
  • Communication and interpersonalΒ skills;Β demonstratesΒ clear communication skills and is at ease and confident in discussion, even in hostile environments. BeingΒ a team player, able toΒ interfaceΒ and influence acrossΒ the variousΒ internal departments.Β 
  • Commercially astute, able to evaluate financialΒ scenario’s, with the aim of steering profitability. Must be able to prove understanding, and implementation of promotional knowledge, Hi/Lo strategy, and the return on investment of promotional funding: in brand and own label.Β 
  • Computer literate with a good working knowledge of MS Office.Β 
  • Presentation Skills,Β demonstratesΒ structure in presenting business proposals.Β 
  • A flexible approach to working.Β Β Expected to travel on Company business and it is alsoΒ anticipatedΒ that the job holder willΒ be requiredΒ to stay away from home.Β
